I had the most amazing time in Vietnam. I can honestly say this was a life changing/eye opening experience. I can`t believe I captured those pictures on the left and how beautiful our world really is. The videos on the right were from the Cu Chi tunnels where I got to see the underground network that was a key part of the #VietCong defense during the #VietnamWar. #saigonriver #hochiminh #saigon #vietnam #lesrives #mekong #cuchitunnels

楽しみにしていたリバークルーズへ。
ホーチミン南にあり、ユネスコエコパークに指定されているカンゾーのマングローブ生物圏保護区を見に行きました。
コンパウンドのお友達を誘ってプライベートツアーにしたので、コンパウンドのjettyまでボートが朝迎えに来てくれ、そのままスピードボートで出発✨
スタッフはガイドさん含め4名ついてくれ、フード担当の方がフルーツや軽食を用意してくれます。
スピードボートでサイゴン川を下ること1時間半、周り一面マングローブに。
ワニや猿に餌やりしたり、マングローブを手漕ぎボートで見て回ったり。マングローブに住むコウモリも見られました。
ワニ釣りは何度かしたことあってあまり期待していなかったけど、このコロナ禍で観光客がいないからなのか皆すごい食いつきっぷりで、迫力満点でした😂
なんと三男がマングローブの泥に腰まではまって抜けなくなるという事件はありましたが、とっても楽しかった！

They only offer a private tour now so they directly came to pick us up at the jetty of my compound.
Going down the Saigon river by a speedboat and we could enjoy the changing view from big city to the deep, deep forest. After arriving, we went through the mangroves by a row boat, at where we could see many creatures like mangrove bat, birds, fishes. You can also enjoy feeding monkeys and crocodiles!

Här är jag ... och nu borta😶 ...tur jag inte lider i klaustrofobi, smått scarey😬. Dagens äventyr startade med speedboat i 1,5h uppför Saigonfloden mot huvudmålet #cuchitunnel . Trevlig och fartfylld tur på floden, men väl framme en tog otäck och skrämmande historia 😔. Vi alla provade på att ta oss ner i ”entrén”...väldigt trångt för vissa😬.
Sen när det var dags att prova på att krypa ner och ta sig en tur genom tunnlarna så fick övriga familjen backa. Jag provade och gick på huk, i 60m, bra trångt utrymme, smått otäckt, väldigt mörkt men ändå spännande att prova. Men som rekommendation, avstå vid högt blodtryck och/eller klaustrofobi, och nu vet jag varför😬.
Rätt fascinerande att tunneln är 250k och i tre etage... helt galet. Ett spindelnät med gånger där det fanns även sjukhus, kök, skolor, mötesrum...ja, allt. Tunneln byggdes även för hand, alltså inga maskiner. Sand och jord tillsammans blir rejält starkt material. Lufthål var 50m som doldes av termitstackar. Ja, det går inte annat än att vara imponerad av bygget.
Sen fick vi även här som på Coconut prison ta del av hur tortyren gick till. Och här gick det mer ut på att skada och skrämma med fällor av alla dess slag för att få fienden att fly. Otroligt grymma och otäcka varianter.
Nu låter vi dagen landa och sedan massage och ut på stan🤗...sista kvällen i Ho Chi Minh🙌

A few weeks ago while we were in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam we went on a Mekong Delta boat tour with lesrivesvietnam 🛶
We would highly recommend it if you visit Vietnam. We got to cruise along the river in a speedboat while getting to see the city from a different perspective. We stopped at various tourist spots along the way too.This was followed by a very peaceful traditional row boat trip through the narrower channels of the river which led us to the a nice little area off the Mekong Delta where we had some local food and drink.
All in all great day out and a brilliant way to see more of Ho Chi Minh ☺👍
