While the essence of our corporate commitment is dedicated to our guests, at Les Rives, we are also actively dedicated to the development of our local partners and the well-being of their surrounding environments, by supporting numerous associations through social, cultural and environmental charitable projects. Below are some of our honorable projects.
Reducing Plastic Waste Campaign
Plastic constitutes 90% of marine litter, with eight million tonnes ending up in our oceans each year, according to WWF. This pollution is devastating marine life, and if we don’t act now, by 2050, our oceans could contain more plastic waste than fish by weight.
In an effort to combat the plastic pollution crisis that is choking our seas, starting in June, Les Rives has eliminated nearly all plastic used during our tours. We’ve replaced plastic straws and bottles with eco-friendly alternatives like grass straws and glass bottles.
Les Rives believes that by taking small steps to reduce everyday plastic use, we can collectively help end this plastic surge. We hope our campaign will inspire and gain the support of our guests and partners in this crucial effort.
Operation Shelter – Orphanage House Build
In collaboration with Ezland, we have established an orphanage in Ta Nung, Lam Dong, providing a safe and nurturing home for children in need. We hope this contribution helps create a brighter future, offering these children the shelter and care they deserve to grow up healthy and strong.
Clean up Vietnam – Beautify Saigon River
At Les Rives, we believe it is our responsibility to take action and make a difference where we can. We are committed to raising awareness among our clients, local partners, stakeholders, and staff, and we actively seek opportunities to contribute positively to our community. In collaboration with Khiri Travel, Let’s Do It – Ho Chi Minh, and several other supportive organizations, we joined forces to clean up Thanh Da Island. This year, our efforts resulted in the collection of over 40 bags of trash.
Les Rives is also proud to participate in the Adopt-a-Spot Program as part of Clean Up Vietnam. This initiative supports cleanup groups and individuals across the country, many of whom are passionate about protecting the environment but lack the necessary funding for cleanup equipment. For each cleanup pack we purchase, Adopt-a-Spot matches our contribution by donating the same number to a group or individual nationwide. Adopt-a-Spot now supports groups in cities and regions across Vietnam, including Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh City, Can Tho, Dalat, Vung Tau, Mui Ne, Nha Trang, Hoi An, Hue, Ha Long Bay, Phu Quoc, and Sapa.
Operation Smile
It was an honor for Les Rives to sponsor the inaugural YAANA Corporate Bike Challenge. This event involved a three-day, 226 km ride from Quy Nhon to Hoi An, with the goal of raising funds for Operation Smile. This association is committed to providing free treatment to children and adults suffering from facial deformities, such as cleft lip and cleft palate.
DONATING LIFE JACKETS
Each year, Les Rives is honored to donate our used, but still in good condition, life jackets to underprivileged communities in the Mekong Delta. By providing these life jackets, we aim to enhance safety and help prevent tragic drownings. At Les Rives, we are dedicated to the well-being of our communities and strive to make a positive impact.
